Internal medicine and cardiology specialist. The emphasis of her practice is empathic approach to her patients; by explaining the nature of illness to the patients, she enables them to also participate in the treatment process. Since 2001 she has been working in the Cardiology Department with Intense Cardiac Care unit, working on duty and saving lives of many patients with acute heart conditions. She obtained a M.D.Ph.D.degree; the topic of her PhD dissertation was pulmonary embolism and lung hypertension. The findings of her research were wildly published in specialist journals in Europe. She is highly skilled in heart ultrasound and assessing heart valve disease, as well as conducting exercise stress tests and interpreting Holter monitor ECG and blood pressure test results. She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases: hypertension, also affecting young people, coronary disease, patients after a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, coronary artery stent placement and patients with heart arrythmia, including those with atrial fibrillation and high cholesterol. She is particularly interested in some disciplines: sports cardiology – screenings of professional and recreational athletes, pregnancy care in women with Cardiovascular diseases as well as Cardiac management of oncology patients. She is very experienced in preoperative assessment for surgical procedures.
